Its an interesting balance, the business between finance and art...this city is all about of course if you want your art out there is gonna cost money...big money too promote and market and basically get people to know about it...big money too produce a hot album and to live while your doing it...an artist lives a strange life in this day and age, of needing to be totally spirtually conected too there art and yet able to be a business person as well, what a balancing act...like running your own corporation. You need investment to create product and so this fastinating and sometime tense dance between money and art, I've been on a film set in north africa and seen the director pulling his hair out because, there was rain...so he was over budget and he thought Columbia Pictures were going too pull the movie. He picked up the speaker and started screaming at all the Tunisian extras that was his way of dealing with the stress...whether you have a fashion collection going out or a C.D....or a movie there are gonna be some intense moments, so moments you just sit down and pray...You learn to breath...these are your dreams and yet its also business...sometimes I find this dynamic tough too juggle. Im basically a lover I think, an artist....but hey you gotta deffinatly enjoy being a business woman if your go survive in the entertainments world. Sometimes I get same heat that director got on that set...I try not too scream, or blame....or even feel like a victim !!! I try too say its all up too creator now...and Hey if its as good as I think it is it will all work out as it was meant too...but I do try too take care of my health and well being, because it can become a hard bowl game...and you can afford to loose yourself along the way...cause thats all you got.
