So how's it going out there on Planet Earth? Sorry I haven't been doing too much blogging, but I've been mad busy, and I've just been on this wild creative learning curve over the last four months. My nights, days and even my dreams are dedicated to writing better and better songs right now. LA has been hotter than Hell some days – don't tell me that Global Warming is not happening. Unless it's my imagination, LA is getting hotter each year. I had to buy a hammock to put up in my garden to sleep in in case it gets even hotter…this is very disconcerting for an English rose. The Females on Fire gig at the Mint rocked. I really had a good time. Thanks to everyone who showed up – especially Wild Wizard who flew in for the event. It was a sexy show, lots of hot female artists on stage, and some really hot female participation. The stage was full of rocking cool ladies by the end of my set. It was thrilling to perform Goddess to such a receptive audience. So thanks to everyone, especially Gilli Moon for organizing it. Ya, I got some faith back in the LA music scene as well.
So I've just been really taking my creativity up to a whole new level. You'll be getting a reinvented Zoe in the fall, more honest, more confident, more…I know this has been an extended writing period, but hey, it took Duffy four years before she had her hot album "Rock Ferry" together, which I love, and has blown her up bigtime. Love the sultry vibe and retro sounds and the sheer honesty, Duffy! If you missed the movie Sex & The City, you have got to get it on video when it comes out. I thought New York posse of leading ladies told a fine tale of love and what it takes to maintain it. I also saw Mama Mia last night and I loved it! I walked out of that movie thinking "ya, it's great to be an entertainer! Let me get out and entertain!" Magical. So, if you're in London, NY, Rome, LA, San Francisco, Capetown, or just about any other place on this earth, keep it real, let the world know how you feel…love, your female on fire, Zoe
