Music, Sex and Poetry

So as I've been a little slow on the blog front lately... So I'm gonna give you my 5 favourite moments of my trip too Europe....Love Zoe

1 Sunday afternoon the Sacre Cour was covered in people a musician handed me a guitar and i began to play one on my new songs, i was singing it really passionately because i was in Paris, and its a passionate song actually about an L.a groupie...a tragic heroin..after the first verse, the musician began hurriedly Miking me up and before I knew it about 400 people were listening on full P.A' ...and I had a whole wall of people taking photo's...my voice has got really strong while recording and I was screaming out the bridge...and as I sang the chorus the the whole crowd were singing along....at the end the musician said down the mic..."Zoe Scott from Los Angeles" and the crowd screamed and clapped, that was a great moment...Love to give people a surprise !!!

2. This crazy Italian dude from Sicily drove me and my friend to Lake Como...in his old taxi...not too much air conditioning it was very hot !!! all the way there he was going on about George Clooney and his house on the lake and how i should just go there and make out with George Clooney and maybe it would turn into something else !!! It was the most insane conversation, the guy looked straight outta the godfather...actually he was funny, but he did get us to see one of the most beautiful sights in the world Lake Como !!!

3. We drove out to Fregene beach on Saturday night...outside Rome, there was this amazing sunset and there was this awesome beach party...great hypnotic music, purple strobe lights, mojito's....and the sky was bright orange,and this guy dressed at a Tibetan banged a gong as the sun finally set. I danced on my own on the edge of the Mediterranean ocean in the warm night and felt completely free and inspired
after we had sea food pasta with an old friend, I love Italy its magical...

4.in Valencia Spain, a friend through me and my sister a pre record release party and a whole bunch of Spanish ladies danced too my new songs, I loved the fact they loved my new woman rock anthems !!! and even if they did not understand every word...they got the point !!!


5. My parents are both painters and one day me and my sister and them sat out in a beautiful meadow in Dorset in England, and all sketched....my father who has a long beard and lo looked like one of the old masters from the french impressionists...and my mother just looked so romantic, in her long cream dress and straw hat....I don't get to do that much living on the other side of the world....it was great !!!

5. leaving Rome yesterday the taxi driver was playing rolling stones and I was like, I'm on my way back to L.a, back to my music and my world of rock n roll...what a great trip....and now the best bit !!!

there were so many great times this trip here are a few, thanks to Tracy-Kate who was my partner in crime traveling around Europe...and everyone else I met along the way.. Love Zoe

As an artist im in the business of being inspired, so I have to find things that turn me on !!! For me there is Nothing like travel to really inspire new feelings, which later become songs, So I have been traveling in Europe for 6 weeks to recharge creative battery...been in London, Paris and Rome. I spent 5 days in Paris...it was wonderful. My favourite day was spent hanging out in the artist square in Montmatre...I realized as I watched them sketch, I was just doing the same...Sketching in words. Getting impressions down that will later become songs...I loved sitting on the steps of the Sacre Cour there was a man with a wonderful voice singing loads of great covers, all my favourites...this was a great chance to get inspired. So travel for me becomes like a fresh canvas, of new creative thoughts and feelings, sketches of moments that turn me on... enough to want too craft them into songs. Any conversation or moments, I may later put my writers mind on...Yeh Paris Rocks...its got this kinda be yourself Vibe....everwhere you go its full of life, the cafes, clubs and streets...when im in Rome, I get loads of attention from the men....which is great for songwritting, you know where there is energy...you know theres a song !!! and where there is a artist, there got to be a muse !!! of cause sooner or later...gotta write a song called "caio bella".....
Rome was really hot everyone had left town...so i kinda got to see Rome in a new way, I lived in Rome from the age of 21 to 24, and worked as an actress. So I like to go and reflect on how far I've come and where Im going...I sat wrote some ideas on the Piazza Venetia,before leaving....as I drove out of rome to the airport...the cab driver was playing the Rolling Stones who originally worked outta of london, actually near my parents home,,,..and I knew I was heading home to L.A....back to the canyons where a lot of great music was created...I felt really great...you know because being a singer songwriter, any experience can become a song !!! and I have lots of new experiences to write about....Thanks to everyone I met on my trip round europe, it was great to meet and share some inspiring moments...Zoe

I have been taking a little break after working flat out from the 5th of January on my new C.D. and before releasing and prmoting my new C.D....Its been great Ive been in London, Paris, Valencia, spain, Milan, Lake Come and Rome. A very welcome break after a year in which i focused and worked harder than ever before. My Record is being mixed in L.A...which is a bit nerve wrecking as I feel i want to be there and am listening to in coming mixes on a veriety of strange head phones and computers, in various hotels across Europe...and I will be back in L.A this week. Fresh and ready for the up coming release of album two...lots exciting stuff on the cards.... and shooting of the Zoe Show will begin... As soon as im over the jet lag !!!! Rome is hotter than hell right now, and everyone has left for the sea...we went to a place called Fregene last night...there was a fabulous party on the beach... very stylish only the italians do a beach party with such style. Had a lot of fun in paris, sang on steps of Sacre Cour....one of the new songs to about 400 people it was thrilling !!! it was great to be in london with family and friends...and thanks Vincent for the fab party in Valencia...been great to play my new record to lots of people here I know and love here in Europe...and have such amazing support...Chat soon Zoe
