So did you take to the streets on Saturday and chant "send our troops home". I did. I headed down to Hollywood Blvd, I heard there was gonna be a peace rally. When I arrived there were not too many people, so I sat and eat lunch. There was a stage set up, so I asked the sound guy when the music was, he said" as soon as they come, the marchers "All of a sudden I looked down Hollywood Blvd and I could see thousands of people carrying peace signs. They flooded around me lika a whole ocean of peace, huging the stage. It was the most moving feeling to be amongst this huge crowd of people, who had got out on the streets shoulder to shoulder, voice to voice, young and old rich and poor, to let there feelings be known. "We want peace, no more war they chanted" "send our troops home". Its the great thing about this country, the spirit of the American people. I listen to a mother as she talked about her son, who had been killed in Iraq. He was just 21 years old, she said the day before he died he rang he was tired she said, " I often thought if only he wasent so tired, maybe he could have dodged the bomb", it was moving I cried and am sure others did too. Her voice was broken holding back the tears. many took the stage including Martin Sheen, Laura Dern, vietnam vets, local councilors. Then the music started first, Jackson Brown, who looked like he was straight out of Woodstock. Then, Ben Harper who sang a very inspiring song" There must be a better way". Finally Ozomotely took the stage and they rocked it. Hands in peace signs a sea of peace and Love on Hollywood Blvd. It was inpiring so Im feeling its time to get out and Rock......Love Zoe
